WPPO Pro 4 Outdoor Wood-Fired Pizza Oven

The WPPO Pro 4 outdoor wood-fired pizza oven is a medium oven in size, measuring 25.125 x 27.5 x 43 inches. It is made with stainless steel grade 304, which is long-lasting. The material also withstands adverse weather conditions, making it the best pizza oven for outdoor use in its category.

Moreover, this oven is double-walled in stainless steel with 4 inches of heat blanket in between, this ensures heat retention which is most important in a pizza oven.

Weighing in at around 147 pounds for the pizza oven and an extra 37 pounds for the optional stand/trolley, it is not exactly something that you can cart to a picnic. Also as a countertop oven the counter would need to be able to hold more than 147 pounds safely, something to consider before purchasing.

What About the Smoke

The WPPO Pro 4 outdoor wood-fired pizza oven took that into account. They standard come with a chimney, which is approximately 26 inches long. This keeps the smoke away from your eyes and clothes giving you comfort and peace of mind.

Cordierite Cooking Base

Featuring a cordierite ceramic cooking stone, the pizza oven guarantees a quick and easy cook. It also makes cleaning a breeze after you have finished cooking. The ceramic cooking stone is 1 ¼ in thickness, enough for heat retention that gives a nice crispy pizza crust.

Additionally, it offers a cooking area of 483 square inches, large enough for small and medium sizes of pizzas.

Plenty of Heat

The pizza oven is capable of producing and keeping temperatures of up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit, which is suitable for fast pizza cooking. 3-5 minutes after placing the dough into the oven is enough to have your pizza ready for serving.

You will only have to turn it around two to three times for even cooking resulting in crispy tasty pizzas every time.

The WPPO Pro 4 pizza oven also has fire insulation blanket above and below the pizza cooking area. The insulation is made of ceramic fiber ensuring good even heat retention that helps to save on the wood fuel.

The best part of that is that it ensures good even cooking of your pizza.

The oven has an inbuilt analog thermometer that guides you in monitoring the temperatures inside the oven. Have confidence with whatever you are cooking taking the guesswork out of controlling the temperature, without opening the oven door. In addition, the thermometer is placed at the front of the oven for easy viewing.

The downdraft air induction system helps to assist you with the temperature regulation.

The WPPO 4Pro Pizza Oven is a tabletop design and it also comes with adjustable pedestal feet to help keep the oven rigid and level.

As with most pizza ovens, you can cook a lot more than just pizza. Don’t be afraid to have a crack at making breads and focaccias, roast meats, chicken and seafood, desserts and vegetables, the opportunities are endless.

Outdoor Position

Nevertheless, you need to place this pizza oven outdoors, or in a place where air circulation is not a problem whenever you are using it.

Being wood-fired the smoke that comes out of the chimney needs to have plenty of ventilation and space away from combustible surfaces.

Keep it at least 4 feet away from the house whenever you are using it in the backyard, while being outdoors enhances circulation and avoids smoke billowing around the oven.

The optional trolley may be an advantage if you like to move it around your patio area to keep it out of the weather.
